In Your Face!

That's what I think about when I'm cleaning. I'm a semi-green Mommy. I've gone pretty much BPA free, I use glass bottles, I don't use much plastic at all. I ALWAYS buy organic milk and meat. But how can we not be concerned about using safe cleaning products around our kids? I started being careful when I was pregnant. (I used every excuse I could to get out of cleaning!)
The only chemical cleaner I use is some scrubbing bubble type bathroom cleaner in my bathroom to clean the glass around my shower and for the tub and potty, but I turn on the vent, turn on my ceiling fan (my bath is connected to my bedroom)and open the windows. If it smells that bad and forces me to do those things, then I probably shouldn't use it, right?
But, around my kids is different. I usually use one of those microfiber cloths and no cleaner at all. Before that I used Seventh Generation. Yesterday I picked up some clorox green cleaner I think it's called (I cannot find the bottle?? I guess the kids walked of with it??) I'm not sure how safe it is, really. Do families still use those strong cleaners anymore? I cannot imagine using something like Formula 409 on my kitchen table where my kids sometimes lick the table acting like a dog? I think I'd rather use nothing at all. I bet licking my table with normal germs is better than licking the table after using scarey chemicals... Right?
